Denver Zoo Hippo Enclosure Void Fill

Void Fill For Denver Zoo’s Hippo Enclosure

Liftech Provides Custom Solutions For All Unique Situations

Floor Drain Leak Created 500 Square Foot Void Under Hippo Enclosure

The hippo enclosure floor drain leaked underground for years; causing the subsoil to erode and the concrete floor to settle over time.  Considering that concrete supports a 4,500lb hippopotamus, concrete settling into a 500 sq ft void is a serious concern.

Why Experienced Technicians Matter

Before Liftech technicians began injecting the foam underneath the slabs, Jason and Ben defined port placement for each injection.  Strategic drilling in all necessary points ensures a successful void fill that will stabilize the concrete slabs & prevent future settling.

When you are considering void fill services under commercial concrete slabs, it’s important you choose experienced professionals with a reputation for quality.

Concrete Stabilization For All Commercial Applications

After all concrete injection ports are successfully drilled, Jason and Ben injected over 500 lbs of industrial strength polyurethane foam to fill the voids under the hippo’s concrete slab flooring. All commercial concrete stabilization projects are unique & the Denver Zoo hippo enclosure was no exception. Liftech technicians are not only experienced, but prepared with all the industry leading tools & technology for our commercial concrete stabilization projects.
