How Much Does it Cost to Repair Your Home’s Foundation?

How Much Does Foundation Repair Cost?

As you can probably imagine, it depends. So let’s go over a couple of things that greatly influence the cost to repair a foundation.

First off, to give you an idea of what the average cost of repairing a foundation is. Last year, for all of our foundation repairs, the average cost was between $10,000 and $20,000.

Now let’s dive into some finer details.

If the middle of your home is sinking, you may need to install new monoposts. This is priced out by how much of the home is sinking and the number of monoposts required. The sooner you stop the movement, the fewer monoposts you may require, which can drastically reduce the cost.

If your wall is bowing in, you may need wall braces. This is priced out by the length of the wall, the number of braces needed, and how far the wall needs to be pushed back. If you catch this early, you may be able to skip excavation and pushing the wall back and just be able to brace it against future movement, which will drastically reduce your cost

$30,000 Foundation Repair

In some cases, foundation repair can cost $30,000 and up. This depends on a multitude of factors. The best way to prevent the repair from getting to $30,000 is to repair it as soon as signs of damage appear. To learn more, check out our page on Foundation Repair Services for Colorado.

If the perimeter of your home is sinking, you may need helical piers. This is priced out by the number of piers and excavation, which is based on how much of your home is sinking. If you catch the foundation moving early, you guessed it, you can drastically reduce the cost of repair.

Long story short, the longer you let your foundation continue to fail without fixing it, the costlier your repair could be. And depending on the type of foundation repair needed, you may be looking at different prices for foundation repair.
